Overview

In the notes on Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry, we have given two types of notes namely Handwritten notes and Standard notes.

Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry notes are focused on monographs of organic drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Friends Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry is the subject of the 1st semester of the B Pharm course, and as per the syllabus copy of PCI B Pharm 1st semester, there are a total of 5 units in this subject.

UNIT-1

Gastrointestinal Agents: acidifiers- Ammonium chloride* and Dil. HCl Antacid: The best qualities of antacids, combinations of antacids, Sodium 40 bicarbonate Magnesium Hydroxide gel, a combination of aluminum hydroxide Cathartics: Magnesium sulfurates sodium orthophosphate Kaolin as well as Bentonite Antimicrobials – Mechanism & classification, Potassium Permanganate hydrogen peroxide of Boric acid* chlorinated lime* Iodine, and the preparations for it.

UNIT-4

Other compounds: expectorants- Potassium Iodide Ammonium chloride. Emetics- Copper Sulphate The potassium tartrate sodium. Hematinic- Ferrous sulfate & ferrous gluconate Toxins & its antidote- Sodium Thiosulphate; activated charcoal Sodium Nitrite333 antiseptics- Zinc Sulphate Potash Alum.

UNIT-5

Radiopharmaceuticals: Radioactivity, Measurement of radioactivity, Properties of a, b, g radiations, Half-life, radioisotopes, and study of radioisotopes – Sodium iodide I131, Storage conditions, precautions & pharmaceutical application of radioactive substances.
