Overview
In the notes in Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry 2, we have included two kinds of notes, namely Handwritten notes, and Standard notes.
Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry 2 notes deal with the general techniques of the preparation and reaction of various organic compounds. Reactivity in an organic compound is examined in this course. The syllabus is focused on the mechanisms and direction of reactions. Oil and fat chemistry is also covered within the course.

UNIT-3
Fats and oils- Fatty acids reactions. B. Hydrogenation, hydrolysis Saponification, the rancidity of oils, and drying oils. C. Analytical constants: Value of acid, Saponification the value of Iodine, Ester Acetyl value Reichert Meisel (RM) value importance and the principle in their calculation.
UNIT-4
Polynuclear hydrocarbons- A. Synthesis and reactions. The structure and medicinal properties of Naphthalene, Phenanthrene, Anthracene, Diphenylmethane, and Triphenylmethane and their derivatives.
UNIT-5
Cycloalkanes- Stabilities Baeyer’s strain theory the limitation of Baeyer’s theory of strain, Coulson and Moffitt’s modifications, Sachse Mohr’s theories (Theory of strain-free rings) Reactions of cyclopropane, cyclobutene.
