Overview

In the notes of Herbal Drug Technology, we have given two types of notes namely Handwritten notes and Standard notes.

Herbal Drug Technology notes provide students an understanding of the essential concepts of the herb-based drug industry, as well as the quality of the raw substances, the guidelines to ensure high-quality herbal medicine including cosmetics made from herbs, like herbal sweeteners, and nutraceuticals, and many more. The course is also focused specifically on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) patenting, and legal aspects of herbal medicine.

Herbal-Drug Interactions as well as Herb-Food introduction: to the interactions as well as classification. Investigation of the drugs in question and the potential adverse effects and interactions Hypericum Kava-kava Ginobili, Ginseng, Garlic, and pepper. Ephedra.

UNIT-3

Herbal Cosmetics

Descriptions and sources of herbal-based raw materials that are utilized in waxes, gums, fixed oils colorants, perfumes, and antioxidants. bleaching agents and other components in hair care and skincare products.

Herbal Excipients: Herbal Extracts The importance of ingredients that have a natural source as excipients. They include dyeing agents, sweeteners adhesive agents, diluting agents disintegrates, viscosity-building agents, flavors, scents, and fragrances.

Herbal formulations: Traditional herbal formulas that comprise syrups, tablets, blends, and mixes, as well as new dosage forms like the Prosomes

UNIT-4

Evaluation of Drugs: WHO and ICH Guidelines for the assessment of herbal remedies Stability tests for herbal medicines.

Regulations and patenting requirements in natural substances:

Schedule T Good Manufacturing Practices of Indian medical systems

Parts and elements that makeup GMP (Schedule T) and its objectives are Infrastructure requirements, workspace, storage machines and equipment, routine operating procedures documents on health and hygiene as well as documents.
